Author Guidelines

The following rules should be considered by the author who wants to submit his/her paper to EMITTER International Journal of Engineering Technology (hereinafter abbreviated as EMITTER):

  1. EMITTER uses a double-blind peer review system, where the author's name is no need to be included in the submitted paper.
  2. The manuscript is written in Microsoft Word 97-2003 document, single space, Cambria 12 pt and minimum 8 pages. The main text format consists of one column on A4 paper (210 x 297 mm). The margin text from the left, right, top, and bottom are 3.5 cm. Please do not alter the formatting and style layouts which have been set up in the template document.
  3. Manuscripts content should be arranged in the following order: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Related Works, Proposed Method, Experiment and Analysis, Conclusion, Acknowledgment, and References.
  4. Title: The title should be the fewest possible words those adequately describe the contents. The title is placed in the center of the page, using Bold Cambria 14 pt.
  5. Abstract: The abstract should provide a brief summary of important messages of each section of the paper: Background of the Problem (~1 sentence), Problem and its interest (1-2 sentences), Solution (~5 sentences), and Performance (~2 sentences). The Abstract should not exceed 250 words and should be designed to define clearly what is dealt with in the paper. It should be typed as a single paragraph, and written in Cambria 11 pt. Keywords: maximum 5 words, separated by comma.
  6. Introduction: The introduction should provide the rationale for the present study. Choose references carefully to provide the most important background information. Much of the introduction should be written in the present tense, because the author will be referring primarily to his/her problem and the established knowledge relating to it at the start of his/her work. Organization and citation of the bibliography are made in IEEE style in sign [1], [2] and so on. The introduction should include: (1) Background of the problem, and (2) Problem of the research and its interest. It presents possible clarity, the nature and scope of problem investigated.
  7. Related Works: The related work is a literature review with describes the work that has been done and explain your position work. It should be a summary of the paper and highlight an important section.
  8. Proposed Method: This section discusses the basic idea of the proposed approach and the reasons for the choice of the approach. The main purpose of this  section is to describe (and if necessary defend) the experimental design and then provide enough detail so that a competent  worker can repeat the experiments. Most of the section should be written in the past tense. Detailed rules about figures, tables and mathematical equations are given in the journal templates.
  9. Experiment and Analysis: There are usually two ingredients of this section. First, the author should give some kind of overall description of the experiment, providing the "big picture". Second, they should present analysis of the experimental results. This section  should be presented in the past tense. The results of the experiment need to be clearly and simply stated because it is the results that constitute the new knowledge that you are contributing to the world.
  10. Conclusion: Please include a brief summary of the possible clinical implications of your work in the Conclusion section. This section should lead the reader to an important matter of the paper. It also can be followed by suggestion or recommendation related to further research.
  11. Acknowledgements: This part contains the acknowledgement for any significant technical help that received from any individual, whether in the laboratory or else where or the source of special equipment, cultures, or other materials. It is usually the acknowledgments wherein the author should acknowledge any outside financial assistance, such as grants, contracts or fellowships.
  12. References: References should be added at the end of the paper, and its corresponding citation will be added in the order of their appearance in the text. Authors should ensure that every reference in the text appears in the list. References are written in IEEE style. All reference items must be in 12 pt font. Number the reference items consecutively in square brackets, e.g. [1]. Use Zotero (, a free and open-source reference management software to manage bibliographic data and related research materials, then select IEEE style. Primary references should be at least 60% of at least 8 references
